IOC President may award a Diploma of Olympic Merit to institutions or individuals in recognition of or as an expression of official thanks for outstanding services to Olympism. This diploma is awarded according to three criteria (evaluated individually or together): the quality of service rendered, standing or rank in office, duration of service.
